Our Story
Hummingbird Heritage is rooted in the traditions I grew up with. My mom taught me how to process jam and preserve food, and those skills became the starting point for everything I make today. She was an avid hummingbird lover and collector, so the hummingbird has always felt like a natural symbol for this work and the heritage behind it. I build on that foundation with my own creativity — familiar flavors with small twists that make them my own.
Right now, I’m keeping things simple and offering small‑batch jams. That’s where I feel most at home, and it’s the heart of this business. As I grow, you’ll start seeing more from me: baking mixes, spice blends, and other practical, comforting goodies that fit naturally into everyday life.
And eventually, you’ll meet my sourdough starter, Rufous Rise, named after one of the hummingbirds my mom loved. He’ll make his appearance in future mixes and products when the time is right.
Hummingbird Heritage is a blend of what was handed down to me and what I enjoy creating today.
